Did you know...
The United States has approximately 6.2 milllion sheep residing within its borders?

One pound of wool can be spun into 20 miles of yarn?

Wool is flame resistant, which means it will not catch fire? Synthetics ignite easily, often melting and dripping onto nearby items.
When you join the FBA, you can send in photos
for our website! We love to post photos of our
youth and their Finnsheep. Photos should be
well-focused and centered. All photos must be
approved by our web designer for quality, clarity
and ability to represent Finnsheep in a positive,
quality manner.
Sheep were raised for their milk long before cows were? There are approximately 100 sheep dairy farms in the United States today. More cheese can be made from a gallon of sheep milk than from a gallon of cow or goat milk.
The fleece from one sheep is enough to make one man's suit?

WOW! This photo
     says it all!
Bath Time!
All in a Day's Work!
Spring is finally here for most of us and lambing season is under way.
Perhaps some of you are busy helping in the barn to raise this years' market lambs.
Perhaps you have your eye on a lamb or two, or three, for this years' 4-H project.
Maybe you learned to spin this past winter and now are looking over your lambs for
that perfect fleece to spin up later in the fall after shearing. Whatever your focus or
direction for your Finnsheep, I'm sure it will be alot of fun!
If you have a sheep tale you'd like to share with others, please feel free to submit it to the
webmaster. Once approved, we will post it here so it can be shared with others!
Just for Fun
What did one sheep
say to the other sheep?
"After ewe!"
